This device provides timed throttle signals to an Electronic Speed Control (ESC) that powers an electric motor for control-line flight.
It is specifically designed for nearly constant power for 3½ minutes of flight with the Brodak Electric Combat airplane.
The throttle is incrementally increased during the 3½ minute flight so that the power will be very nearly constant during the flight. The combination of this timer and the complementary Brodak ESC and combat airplane provides an ideal setup for combat practice:
both motor starts are at the same time, the power is the same, and the flights end at the same time.
