Quick Overview
The Westerner is a 1/2A size model of an 8 foot wingspan free flight model originally designed by Elbert J. Weathers, and published in Model Airplane News magazine in 1938. This 4’ version has been downsized and re-designed for electric-powered, 3-channel RC. The prototype was also flown with a 1/2A glow engine and 2-channel R/C.Specifications
Wing Span: 48 in. Plane Length: 28-3/4 in. Wing Area: 240 sq. in. Engine: electric or .049 glowDetails
This model is an excellent and very competitive flyer. We decided on this downsized version because the original 96” model is just too large for flying in most places today, and would also prove rather difficult for most modelers to transport.Additional Information
