Quick Overview

The Spacewalker was designed in the early 1980's as a home built aircraft in Hendersonville, NC by Jessie Anglin, intended to capture the essence of a 1930's sport airplane.  The design was a success with 2 versions being built; a single place Spacewalker 1 and a tandem 2 seat Spacewalker 2. I believe the Spacewalker became popular as a model when Sig Manufacturing produced a 1/3 scale kit of the full size Spacewalker belonging to Hazel Sig. The red and yellow color scheme of the Spacewalker also seems iconic to the design. One pilot at Oshkosh reported flying the Spacewalker was as close as one could come to flying in a model airplane. The BMJR Spacewalker designed by Paul Bradley is for electric R/C.
