FIASCO

Quick Overview

At the Weak Signal Show in Toledo 2017, we were sitting in the lounge and I said that sounds like a fiasco. Dave Platt said; ”sounds like a good name for a model”. Subsequently a design emerged on a napkin. A few weeks later Dave finished a hand drawn plan which we converted to CAD and cut a set of laser parts for a proof–of-concept model. Later 2 prototypes were built. One for these instructions and one by Tim Miller for flight testing. Test model turned out to be typical of a Dave Platt design with great flight characteristics. The flaparons are unique in that through “transmitter mixing” they can be used as both flaps, and ailerons.

Flying weight is in the range of 30oz.
