Details
The Brodak F-51 Mustang is based on the Sterling OTS era design, including the flat wing and fuselage mounted landing gear. However, the fuselage mounted landing gear prevents proper integration of the battery box structure. We solved that and modernized the Mustang by moving the landing gear to the wing (where it belongs) and adding 3 degrees dihedral. This greatly improves the realism of the old war horse. The conversion kit includes electric motor mount with integrated battery box, new spar braces, rib reinforcements, landing gear blocks, new wires and gear leg fairings. Includes photo illustrated instruction manual.
CAUTION: making the landing gear and dihedral mods to your F-51 Mustang will probably get you DQ'd at most OTS contests - unless you find a very sympathetic CD!
MEMO: conversion kit BH-1952 includes just the landing gear and dihedral mods and can be built into a IC powered Mustang.
