Propellers
A propeller is a type of fan that transmits power by converting rotational motion into thrust. A pressure difference is produced between the forward and rear surfaces of the airfoil-shaped blade, and a fluid (such as air or water) is accelerated behind the blade.
Pusher Prop
An aircraft constructed with a pusher configuration (as opposed to a tractor configuration), the propeller is mounted behind their respective engine so that the aircraft is "pushed" through the air, as opposed to the tractor configuration, in which the propeller is in front of the engine and "pulls" the aircraft forward.
Tractor Prop
An aircraft constructed with a tractor configuration (as opposed to a pusher configuration), the propeller is mounted in front of their respective engine so that the aircraft is "pulled" through the air, as opposed to the pusher configuration, in which the propeller is behind the engine and "pushes" the aircraft forward.
