The Cosmic Wind "Little Toni" was originally designed and built by Lockheed's chief test pilot, Tony LeVier, to compete in the Goodyear Formula One races. Its distinctive design was one of the most famous Formula One racers, winning races and setting speed records for decades. An outstanding pylon racing airplane, it debuted in the 1947 Goodyear Trophy Race in Cleveland, Ohio and finished third.
