C-119 "Flying Boxcar" 60"

The C-119 was designed as a large, but relatively lightweight electric park flyer for 4-channel R/C. The model was designed at approximately 1:22 scale with a 60” wingspan and an overall length of 48”. A pair of economical 450 class Outrunner motors and a 3S Lipoly battery provides the power. Construction is primarily of balsa and light ply and features removable plug-in outer wing panels for easy transport.

This kit contains everything needed to frame the model, including 4 full size plan sheets, laser cut parts, and all the stock strip and sheet wood needed to frame the model. Pre-bent wire parts are also provided to simplify and speed up the building pro-cess. The fuselages are of the old school “keel and spine” style, with the wings and tail components being of the egg-crate style of construction. The rudder and wing tops are bowed outlines to ensure a strong, yet light structure. The C-119 was designed in true scale outline for the best possible scale appearance, though to keep the weight down is not fully sheeted. Also included is a list of all the necessary parts needed to complete the model, as well as a pic disc detailing the prototype build.
