Quick Overview

The Super Constellation was designed as an electric R/C powered 1:25-scale model of one of the most elegant airliners of all time. The "Connie" is built primarily of balsa and ply with plastic detail parts in key areas to simplify construction. Designed for clean, quiet electric power and 4-channel RC. Due to the complexity and added weight, no provisions were made for retracts. It was designed in the old-school style "stick and tissue" construction to build a light, economical model with simple 4-channel R/C and electric power that can be easily flown in smaller venues, but is large enough to be flown on conventional R/C flying fields.

The "Connie" served only 2 years as an airliner from 1954 - 1956, but also served the roll of a military transport as well as "Columbine III", President Eisenhower's personal airplane.
